It is that time of year again and we are looking forward to our Annual General Meeting and Awards Evening in September.

It is very much a more the merrier event and whether you are a seasoned swimmer, or you are just considering open water swimming, then this is the event to attend. There will be swimmers of all ages and stages, from beginners to ultra-athletes, the only common denominator is a love for swimming.

At the AGM you will get to meet the CLDSA Committee, the Summit Swimmers and members of the CLDSA will receive their medals and certificates for swims that they achieved over the past swim season.

CLDSA Awards and Trophies

The AGM is also an opportunity for the CLDSA Committee to award Trophies for remarkable swims that swimmers have completed over the past year.

The Jantzen Cup for the fastest swim from Miller’s Point to Fish Hoek.

The Barney Cemel Veterans Trophy for tireless dedication.

The Peter Bales Trophy for tenacity.

The Warrington Brokers Trophy for an inspirational swim.

The Orca Trophy for a remarkable wetsuit swim of the year.

The PD Gordon Pugh Memorial Trophy for an outstanding swim.
