You must be an active CLDSA member to book a swim. Complete an individual swim application for each solo/relay swim. Make sure list your chosen swim route, pilot/observer and swim category (refer to official swim rules). Use the swimmer’s checklist to ensure that all the areas are covered.
Please take note: For marathon swims of more than 20km it is required to provide a medical along with your swim application, effective 1 July 2023. For more information, see this letter. Please download the medical form and send the completed and signed form to firstname.lastname@example.org at least one week prior to your planned swim date. Medicals are valid for one year.
Benefits for registering your swim are the following: your swim authenticated by a CLDSA trained observer, entry into CLDSA public records, personalised electronic swim certificate, directly after swim record has been ratified, recognition at the CLDSA annual awards function, option to buy your personalised medal, entry into annual lucky draw with prizes to the value of R6000 and assistance with registering a swim record with Guinness World record.
